However, I am fully aware that at this stage, theory was a critical factor and repetition was a necessity, even for myself. “Mr Debono, has taught me for a couple of times in CSA (binaries etc..) and I believe he's a mathematics miracle worker. I haven't passed my Mathematics last year and totally hopeless in this subject unless given a good explanation during lectures. During a 1 hour tutorial for the first CSA assignment, 3 days before the assignment, he managed to explain all the sums/equations excellently (probably; state-of-the-art), with a great voice tone and pitch and at a good pace, resulted in me successfully passing all the mathematics requirements of the subject (CSA). Haven't had such a good mathematics teacher/lecturer since Form 2. His way of mathematics explanation is exceptional.”

“Mr. Debono delivers his lessons very well, using powerpoints (or the board) to give his lesson. Whenever he introduces something, he says what he is introducing; whether it is a definition, law, etc. He also gives ample examples, which help students better understand what he is talking about. His style is one of ENSURING that everyone has understood. Even if nobody asks, the class are given several examples, and he asks students (usually the ones who are chatting) to answer the examples, to sample whether the class has understood. After the examples, he also gives us classwork, and goes around to check for progress and difficulties before giving an answer on the board. I strongly believe in classwork, because Maths is a subject where practice and correction is the key to its mastery.”
